Visited

Oahu's North Shore is loaded with natural beauty, including a stretch of coastline featuring many of the world's most famous surf breaks. Waimea Valley also offers easy access to a gorgeous waterfall and a beautiful collection of botanical treasures while Haleiwa's Alii Beach Park is a terrific place to watch folks ride waves and often spot Hawaiian green sea turtles.

Stayed

The Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort is one of Oahu's most popular hotels, parked right on the sand of Waikiki beach and home to some of the best ocean-view rooms on the island. The property's iconic Duke's Waikiki restaurant is also a terrific venue for beachfront cocktails and live music performed by many of Hawaii's most popular artists.

Nibbled

Waiahole Poi Factory makes some of the best traditional Hawaiian food on all of Oahu -- be sure to at least try the poi! And this primarily takeout eatery is located just a short drive from one of Windward Oahu's most beautiful public places, Kualoa Regional Beach Park, a wonderful spot to find a picnic table with a stunning ocean vista.
